Explain to me what the difference is between meeting up with random people online in a forum or comments page to play the game, and meeting up with random people online that the game puts you together with? Either way you're taking a chance at playing with people who suck and don't know how to use teamwork. "Period." There are plenty of games that require a lot of cooperation between players that can be done via matchmaking. I'm so sick of hearing this "If you have matchmaking for raids, literally every single other person in the matchmaking will be a drooling mongoloid who can't find the 'shoot' button, so we don't want matchmaking" crap. Even if I get put into a game with five chimps playing the game by slapping their dicks on the controller, at least I'm not being locked out of content unless I leave the game. Hell, if you went online and played Halo 2 CTF with randoms against a good, experienced team you would get completely wrecked.... does that mean the game shouldn't have had matchmaking? By your logic, I guess it does.

Geez you take this real serious don't you ?. If a person has read your post online and sent you a message, they obviously speak the same language so that's a bonus. What I normally do then is join a party with them so I no they have a mic and can listen to instruction and give out instruction if they need too. While waiting for others to join we generally discuss tactics and how much they no about the VOG. I find that this helped dramatically. I'm not suggesting it doesn't need improvements or the content should be locked out. Changes do need to happen. Possibly an in game and stream line version of the destinylfg website.
