Sounds like the new lvl cap cheapens existing raid gear.
Does this mean that the raid gear everyone has grinded hours on end for is now 'old hat'?

You must be new to MMO's
-
I am, yes. I can't quite work out if that was a genuine question, or patronising comment?
-
More of a statement. This is what to expect. As soon as you get the best gear an update or expansion will come out making it obsolete. It's not necessarily a bad thing, it just means you'll always have something to work for and the game is constantly growing.
-
I understand and appreciate that, of course more content etc is a good thing. If the drop rate for the Raid gear wasn't so random I wouldn't have a problem with it, but I feel some are being made to work a lot more than others for the same reward (Raid gear). So for some, likely me as I chase gauntlets, it will feel a little less enjoyable to finally get the gear and it be instantly outdated lol!

Me too bro me too

I'm assuming that you'll need raid gear to access the new raid. Is there any information available about what level the new raid will be? You basically need level 28 gear to stand a chance in VoG from what I've heard (unless you get a lot of help from a high level team), so it would make sense if there's another 2 level jump to the next raid.

It keeps the game fresh and most people just pushed atheon off the cliff.
-
I understand the need to keep the game fresh, I'm not against more content and variety. Just feel that each set of Raid Gear should be on par with the next, lvl wise. I haven't even been lucky enough to get a full set yet, but feel like by the time I do get my last piece from the raid I will be un-equipping it for the next set to keep up with the lvl cap. Therefore 'cheapening' the set I have from VoG.
-
Yeah but you need one set to get the next, it's not like you won't be able to use your old raid gear you can become legend by showing off every set of your raid gear. Keep for the memories as well

Edited by Tnilc: 10/30/2014 12:27:03 PMI see what you're saying, but in a few months most will have forgotten about the VoG raid set because it'll be lvl 30. I would rather have to choose between a raid set on looks/perks etc than be forced to wear a set to achieve the appropriate level.

basicly it's worthless...
-
I don't think so. We can now just try to find new raid gear.
-
It basicly means we have me grind time now
