er.. he's not selling raid gear, he only sells exotics that you can get via RNG system he's also important for those who don't have that much time to play and earn the stuff. just because someone has a job, they shouldn't be allowed an Exotic? Elitist logic that caters only to hardcore players is not the way to go.

Thank you. Some of us who have jobs and families might only have time to play a weekly & do other things to amass enough strange coins/motes of light to shop at Xur *maybe* twice a month. It's called exotic gear and not raid gear for a reason.
-
I have a job and I have exotics, it seems you just used that as justification. Welp
-
The exotics I've had from him so far have all been VOG exotics..this has stopped me raiding. Elitist logic works and has worked for so many games. People who don't have time to play religiously like the elites always find themselves trying to beat content, the way destiny is atm there is no point in beating the hardest content, just wait for xur he'll have it.
-
Says the guy that can't even hit 30... And you can get all the raid exotics from the nightfall or even legendary engrams if your lucky enough. Getting rid of xur is one of the dumbest things I've read since the release of destiny. Congrats!!
-
"Can't even hit 30" is there something besides luck helping you get raid gear that I'm missing? Please share

the stuff he sells is RNG as well. and there are plenty of "filthy casuals" that don't have the time or resources to do raid or even nightfall. without Xur, they would be punished into having lesser gear because of factors that are out of their control (family commitments etc.) in what universe is that fair? getting rid of Xur would reduce server numbers, not increase the number of people going into try hard mode. I'm sorry sir/madam, but your argument is flawed.
-
So let's put everyone in the same boat as filthy casuals, remove all sorts of progression by adding a vendor that pretty much sells progression. The reason we've ran out of content is because of xur giving us that boost through content
-
sorry, but if you are going to use "filthy casuals" literally, I will not waste my time arguing with you. good day.
-
Pfft it's true, I'm probably close to being one atm so I will use it literally and I'm not afraid to say that this game has been catered to people who don't have time to play and this is the reason why there isnt enough content. Every game I've played there is always something to separate the two and in destiny there isn't. No true skill rating. No gear that separates the two. And an Npc that sells progression. Them 3 things are why destiny is failing miserably. Xur is probably the most damaging because people want a shortcut through the grind. Making everyone equal removes the sense of accomplishment and making the game very dull and boring. Before xur sold ice breaker I'd hear of many challenging stories on how they got it and now? None.

as I was explaining to the other gent, He may not be of much use to you, but there are a great many who will still fast-track. You believe it's wrong, and you are entitled to your own opinion, as I am to mine, but one fact remains; as long as there is demand for Exotics (which there always will be), Xur is going to come to the Tower every Friday and make you mad.
