After reading the messages and forum posts here, this particular post most closely represents my sentiments about the game. In fact, this is actually my first time posting in here. Mostly, I just drop in to observe and with the hope that more content and the greater story would come to light. So far, nothing except the realization that if we want more than the shell of a game we paid full price for, we'll have to pay more... That's not gonna happen. My girlfriend, whom I also bought a copy for on release day, feels this way as well. Even if we don't link up in the game, we've played many game campaigns together from Borderlands to Skyrim to Fallout to BioShock, the list goes on... So it's not like we don't have patience to see a game through to the end. She stopped playing Destiny less than a month after getting it but I held on until a few weeks ago. Haven't played since. And we don't mind buying extra content if the initial game shows it was worth it. For example, among others, Borderlands. We've gotten more for our money out of Borderlands DLC content than the entirety of Destiny. Which is sad cause I genuinely see the potential for greatness here. But I refuse to pay for any more as my trust has been broken. If we paid $60 for the original game, I can't imagine that a $20 expansion will have more than an hour or two worth of story content, tops, before the same old grind kicks in. While I'm primarily a PVE player, what's the point of getting to level 32 when crucible disregards level and NPC enemies don't really vary with level? Not to mention, you can only arm/wear one exotic at a time so new gear with the expansion is almost useless unless you wanna grind for another few weeks to level it up. Which is fine for the "hardcore" gamers but that grind only works on me the first couple times around before I tire of it. I'll occasionally keep checking back in here to see if things have changed for the better. I still hope they will. Not simply to get my money's worth but because I see the potential in the game. But I won't be playing the game or buying more content until there's in depth changes. And I think I'll know by the posts here turning positive, as most I see lean towards vitriolic, that things have changed for the better. Best of luck everyone.
