  • first, paying for this dlc twice. It was admitted that they were required by Activision to pull game content to make the dlc, so we're all paying for this first dlc twice. Then, xbox owners paid the same amount for less content, missing multiple strikes, that we MIGHT have access to in over a year. I'm fine with timed content, but to make me pay for it with NO answer on whether or not I will actually get it, and if i do it's over a year away, is insane. if anyone told you, "pay me now, and i might give you the services in over a year, maybe", you would file a BBB complaint and contract a lawyer. I want dlc like borderlands, actual HOURS of new content. This $20 dlc is giving an hour, maybe two of new content to ps players, and less to xbox. That's not worth twenty bucks. Just like destiny isn't worth $60 out of the box. Flimsy ass game. I'm never buying into the BUNGLE hype again. I feel bulletwitch was a better value at $60.

PlayStation has 20% more strikes than Xbox and after first DLC they will have 33% more... If imagine the trend will continue to 2nd DLC PS will get two XB will get one. That is the only thing I can side with you on. The strikes should not be exclusive. Exotics, fine. One crucible map, fine. But not up to 3 strikes when there are only 5 to begin with!!! And I can not agree with you on Destiny not being worth $60. I remember in OG Xbox days and Xbox 360 days of paying $60 for a 6 hour single player game before there were acceptable business models and marketplaces to sell sub 40$ games... Destiny is worth every penny of the $60. It is a blessing that with rising development costs and inflation being double what it was in 1990s that we still pay $60 across board for new games! I realize the point you were making was for humor but Destiny does have over $60 worth of content. One thing, if you said I feel ripped off by paying $60 for something I was sold as being kinda different from what was hyped then I can understand that. A lot of players got something they didn't expect. You can condemned Bungie for underdeliverig in their promise or overhyping what they had to release but to say Bulletwitch has more value than Destiny is a statement only being said for comedic value. Maybe YOU ran Bulletwitch to death and got more out of it than what it have gotten out of Destiny but you take that same commitment of time to explore each nook and cranny to find everything the game has to offer that you seem to have had with Bulletwitch and apply that to Destiny and just have fun with the game, as the mechanics are best we've seen in a modern PvE FPS ever, you will see what kind of value Destiny actually has to offer!

  • P.S. the only reason console games went up to $60 last gen, was because they were trying to get their money back from pirated games. Microsoft and every single developer said that if piracy was gone, they would not have to charge more than $40 for a game at the time, on then current gen games (360, ps3...)

Honest men pay for the money lost by shoplifters, same for pirates...

I remember saving up 80$ for a N64 game that retailed at $70.. Money was saved by printing to discs... So they stayed at $60 for original Xbox and it was rumored it was going to be 70-75$ for 360 games. That wasn't true... Wasn't even a peep of over $60 games this recent generation even though it has never coated more to make a AAA game..
