When I first started playing Destiny I was upset with all the disconnects, and constant error messages. Things have improved alot FOR ME. Theres always something to do, daily strikes, upgrade weapons, armor, bounties, etc. I doubt there are very many people out there who have done everything they can. I have one character only, with fully upgraded armor, about 7 exotic weapons, 2 fully upgraded. Then theres still a few exotics I want, and I want to start leveling another character. I have to say this is one of the best games I have ever played. Keep up the good work Bungie! No more disconnects please, and add some playable content to The Reef. Also maybe we can actually use our ships in some type of mission, instead of just staring at there awesomeness.
I cant wait for new downloadable content, and dont mind paying the few extra dollars. As for all you crybabies complaining about $20, go ask mommy and daddy to pay for it. If not get a better job, because lets face it $20 isnt very much money now a days.

If this is the best game you've ever played..I feel sorry for you, but you are entitled to your opinion. I would however suggest you play some games with "rich cinematic storytelling"..I could tell you the names of these many games.. I could tell you where you could get these games, but just like bungie I won't and it will cost you.

I have 3 players one 30, one 29.75, and one 29.5. I do the daily bounties with all of them. With the raids set for only once a week there is not much more to do... Most of my awewome guns are maxed out and the ones that are not are garbage waiting to be turned in for energies. The lack of content is showing how poorly that planned the games launch. They don't realize that in November they will probably lose most of the hardcore destiny players. Even having updates every couple of weeks like the Queen's Wrath would be something to keep people interested since at least its something new. I like destiny but I'm guessing in about a week or so I will not be playing everyday like I do right now. There is just not enough to do that can justify my time. How many spirit bloom are you going to farm before you realize you don't even need any? If bungie was smart they would release the dlc in about a week or 2 and at most charge $9.99. I don't know how otherwise they will keep an audience. It's sad that I have friends that once were playing destiny 24/7 for the first month now almost never play the game except to maybe come on once a week to Raid the VoG. I think that speaks loud enough. Also, seeing how bungie has released patches for arbitrary items and not patched some of the real problems in the game kind of shows that they take us for fools. How many times in one day can someone seriously get flatworm, beaver, lionfish, etc before they wise up and just turn the game off.
The lack of content is showing how poorly that planned the games launch
Yeah, I'd run out of things to do too, after being +240 hours in.
-
Hours played is no indicator of how much content they have given us. I am a dedicated destiny player. I won't deny that. Just saying that you eventually can only grind so much before there is nothing left to grind. They could add small little enhancements that keeps the game fresh. Like I said things like the queens wrath were fun. Why not keep doing more side projects like that? Also, the raid rest should be twice a week IMO. I don't care if they give fewer drops even. Doing this would entice players to continue to login multiple times per week. My friends list speaks for itself. And I made tons of friends in destiny. Probably at least 30+ new friends. A lot of them I no longer see playing because they have nothing left to do. Bungie needs to find a way to keep players coming back. That's all. I like the game and am playing right now even doing my daily missions on my characters and their respective bounties. Not sure what else to say that I haven't said already though.

You sound like how we all did once. I'm 3 characters in and just do more and more of the same stuff over and over. The only new experience for me will be overpriced dlc.
-
You started off creditable, then finish off with "$20 isnt much".... Firstly, if something is written into original coding and was removed from the original package and then u are told to pay extra for it... Then yes! $20 is a lot because it should be "free" and included within the original Destiny release... So if you are happy paying $20 for something that should be free ... Then I am happy to send you my bank details are you can pay for my time writing this post! Also, Destiny is flogging removed content for extra profit, which is disgusting and doesn't build a strong consumer base ! But then there's people like you that'll sleep walk into opening their wallets for "new" and "improved" content.... And that's where they make money, people like you who mindlessly just purchase.... Way to set an example....Dear Bungie, ....................../´¯/) ....................,/¯../ .................../..../ ............./´¯/'...'/´¯¯`·¸ ........../'/.../..../......./¨¯\ ........('(...´...´.... ¯~/'...') .........\.................'...../ ..........''...\.......... _.·´ ............\..............( ..............\.............\...

Disgusting unquestioning consumer
-
Whats to question? Its a video game, and offers DLC. Just like most titles today.
-
So you're saying it's okay to pay 100 dollars for a game's complete experience, because it's the norm? You don't ask the question of why you must pay more and more for less and less each time? Sounds like you should work for EA
-
Ultimately what are you gonna do about it? Nothing, because people are going to play the game anyways, and purchase the DLC. It sucks that we have to pay the extra money I dont disagree with that, but its $20. If its to much to pay then you have the CHOICE to wait until the price lowers, or pay for it now.
-
So you have questioned it somewhat. I agree the choice to buy lies with the individual, though a lot of people will never get to play the whole game because of it. Think back to an ancient time called the nineties, when you could buy a complete game on release day, then a year later an expansion pack which doubled the game for a sliver of the price. What, other than greed, happened to that Dev mindset?
-
I agree, and I remember when games first came out with DLC. I've always been a gamer ever since I got my first atari, but you cant argue the games nowadays are so much more complex. Maybe they want to price games at $100, but know it wont sell. So instead do the DLC thing. Which give us the choice on how much to spend. Society sucks, and so do large business. They know they can do whatever they want, and get away with it. In the end we cant do much. However if there was a large enough petition started to stop this type of thing from happening, I would gladly be on board. Until then........
-
And like that, you've made a friend outta me
-
The only type of petition that works is to not buy it. It's too late once you've bought the game and found it wanting. Your only future recourse is to not buy the DLC/expansions. But too many will likely unquestioningly buy it rather than realise that the only way to change things is to not give them your money. They can ignore words on forums and petitions, they can't ignore their bottom line.

Filthy casual.
-
Its really not that big of deal. Get over it
-
You are part of the problem that makes developers think releasing DLC in this fashion is ok. It's not an expansion, it's "ok, this part of our unfinished product is ready. Please unlock existing content for extra money". And $20 is too much for what they're releasing. You know how a large popcorn and soda at the movies is like $10 and how you know that's BS? Welcome to Destiny's concessions.
-
It is BS but most of us pay it anyways. I sneak my own candy in the movies, lol.
-
So do you agree that the DLC situation is messed up, but you're buying it anyway?
-
Edited by CHINOXHALE: 10/30/2014 4:57:44 PMYes its messedup. and Im going to buy the DLC anyways. You got to learn when to chose your battles. This one is probabaly not going to be won, by a few people randomly complaining on a forum.
