So you have questioned it somewhat. I agree the choice to buy lies with the individual, though a lot of people will never get to play the whole game because of it. Think back to an ancient time called the nineties, when you could buy a complete game on release day, then a year later an expansion pack which doubled the game for a sliver of the price. What, other than greed, happened to that Dev mindset?

  • I agree, and I remember when games first came out with DLC. I've always been a gamer ever since I got my first atari, but you cant argue the games nowadays are so much more complex. Maybe they want to price games at $100, but know it wont sell. So instead do the DLC thing. Which give us the choice on how much to spend. Society sucks, and so do large business. They know they can do whatever they want, and get away with it. In the end we cant do much. However if there was a large enough petition started to stop this type of thing from happening, I would gladly be on board. Until then........

  • The only type of petition that works is to not buy it. It's too late once you've bought the game and found it wanting. Your only future recourse is to not buy the DLC/expansions. But too many will likely unquestioningly buy it rather than realise that the only way to change things is to not give them your money. They can ignore words on forums and petitions, they can't ignore their bottom line.
