Moaning about the dlc. If you didn't know anything about some of it being on the disc you would all be worshiping BUNGIE for a fantastic game. For those that say it lacks content... Are only saying that because u know about some dlc being on the disc. However... U cannot put 6 days plus time in a game and say it lacks content that is a joke. I played infamous twice through in two days no one said this game
Lacked content. U love it accept it, accept the dlc issue which is they put the basic map detAils on our discs to make the download faster when they completed it and made it available for download. ( thank u BUNGIE).
I have never seen anyone discuss a game they hate so much. Why? Because u love it!!! Else why would u bother?

I think the problem is that Bungie initially emphasized on it being an epic ten-year franchise, so even if the current content is on par with other games, people were expecting more from all the hype. So in a sense Bungie kind of shot themselves in the foot since they raised the bar so very high but hadn't delivered on that epic level they promised. Destiny is a great game right now, but it's far from epic.

And before you say it isn't an mmo, regardless of what bungie chooses to call it the game is structured and played similar to an mmo so it's going to be held up to that standard. If bungie decided tomorrow to call destiny a racing sim we aren't all going to start comparing it to gran turismo. It's not that destiny isn't a fun game, because it is. It's that people were sold an incomplete product regardless of whether that portion is worth $60 on its own. Imagine if they had waited till after the credits of the first hobbit rolled to inform people that it was actually going to be three parts and that the first one wasn't a complete movie. I'm fine paying for three separate films to tell the hobbit story, even if the book was shorter than 2/3 of the LotR books that had 3 movies total. The problem isn't that there isn't $60 worth of content, it's that the expectation was for a complete product.

It was cut from the game. They have followed the Mobile gaming industry's way of making money. It's a pay-wall. Whoops sorry if you don't pay, you can't access this area. If it was on the disc, I should be able to play it because I payed for content on the disc.

I think your correct there are things to do in the game I have 4 day played so far. But at the same time it is mostly grinding and for some people that isn't enough content. From that stand point yes there is not much to do and it does get repetitive. But it's just a personal preference. Best wishes -Fawkes

If u can't talk to friends or meet people on here yes the games awfully repetitive I agree but play it with people and u don't even notice ur doing missions uve done before u just killing things with new armor and weapons all the time whilst having a blast with fantastic graphics

Yes you're right that is one of the things the game does well is mowing through hordes of enemies with your buddies. But that begs the question. Why no matchmaking on weeklies and raids? Why not make it easier to play with others? Which is a criticism they have heard and said they would address but time will tell if it's implemented soon Best wishes -Fawkes

Really. There are several large doors in this game, just like others that open, that don't open at all "yet". Even if people didn't go searching the "huge expansive world" we would still question what they are for. Did Bungie not expect people to go exploring. That's what mmo gamers do.

No one bitches at Blizzard for doing the same thing with WoW. I along with many others were exploring new areas in WoW before release. It's part of the genre. The grind, the repetitive nature, the rep, the raids, the random loot systems. I can't tell you how many times I've run the same dungeons over and over again in hopes to get a specific armor piece. I don't mind paying for content. Its better than sub fees PLUS paying for content. I'm just trying to figure out when gamers became so greedy. The amount of time, people, and work it takes to make a game in this day and age is incomparable to 15 years ago, yet people want to pay the same price for way more. This isnt '95 anymore. A team of 15 people can't create games that use the full potential of current platforms. How many more great dev companies need to go under before people realize this.

Granted it wasn't always so, but these are lessons that games like borderlands and WoW already learned that for some reason bungie chose not to take note of. Also WoW, another, activision game interestingly enough, is not without issues of corporate greed itself lately. Which I'm sure is part of the reason many people, myself included, no longer play WoW.

I totally agree that WoW had more content at launch and the greed of Blizzard Activision is also a big reason I stopped playing not to mention the vast amount of changes made to the game for the worst. I feel WoW was at its best with BC and just went downhill from there. Wow was also way more that $60 considering. I can understand that Destiny isnt the game for everyone, but for me and the people who do enjoy Destiny, this is a good middle ground. I refuse to ever play another game that charges sub fees, its why I won't touch ESO. I feel I have gotten my money's worth with Destiny, and I still enjoy playing it. The shared world mmo-styled elements are unmatched by any other fps rpg atm. And honestly, if Borderlands (one of my favorite franchises) would incorporate mmo elements into the next iteration, it would be unrivaled. If they would just add pvp elements, the replay value would be enormous. I got bored after the 4th playthrough. Borderlands was just as repetive as Destiny, and I feel the story was weak as well. What Borderlands did better was randomly generated loot system. The combinations were endless and plentiful. As for now, im happy with Destiny and dont feel ripped of $60, and i'm more than happy to pay for more content.

Great point. Everybody is complaining because the game is I think overly fantastic. They just need to fix the problem of exotics being outgunned by a common or uncommon auto rifle from across the map !!

It's not that the game is bad, it's that it is unfinished and obviously so...Most importantly though it's not what they promised it was 'all' going to be, and that's why Bungie and Destiny are getting hate. Personally I love Destiny but I'm also not blind to what is and what isn't finished in the game. And so like most people I'm justifiably disappointed.

Yes I've seen this speculation bs. Which is what started this boring rampage to begin with! Even with no dlc. NONE I would still love this game. It's still more hours to put in than any game out to ps4 so far. I still have to max out 3 characters to level 30. I love the raid and communication required and the people u meet. And there even offering more bonus

No bungie your trash and comparing an offline vs an online game for content is a tad retarded no shit no one gave a damn be cause they understand a game like grand theft auto only with disc space to rely on for content an online game can have endless content due to updates there is the difference one being local content one being online and endless possibilitys i would deck some one as dumb as you in the face and push your whole face inside then your face would at least match your clear iq
