Great presentation of some of the facts. It is good to see a comparison from the fps standpoint. I don't usually play fps so I don't have the background of what to expect. I do have the background in mmo and rpg games. From that perspective, this game is falling way short in terms of value. The expectations of people from that background is way more content, including equipment, story and activities. This is a unique hybrid game that is combining so many different aspects. The down side of that is that there will always be angry people that want something different. People have the right to say what they think needs to be improved. Bungie's lack of response is what is creating the haters. They need a social media manager and things would be much different on the forums. If that job belongs to Deej, Bungie needs to replace him as he is failing at the job.
After all that, basically I'm saying it's nice to see information from a different point of view.

I can agree with everything you've said. The hardest part of all of this is that Bungie has repeatedly said that this is NOT an MMO. They've created a new genre they call a "Shared-world Shooter". If we go by the definitions of MMO and FPS, then we all set ourselves up for missed expectations. If I take Destiny and remove all the labels, then I am left with a game that has unbelievably solid mechanics, an addicting loot system, sweet looking character customization, and.....an under-developed story. I love the game, but agree that I would have liked a deeper story and more MMO traits such as trading, mini games, better in-game communication, crafting, etc.

So you like getting shards from bosses or no set farm points for loot? Or getting random loot drops only to find out it's the same gear they sell in the tower vendors? I've gotten the same plan c fusion rifle 6x in 6x locations. But that's cool they should of referenced borderlands for help. Even defiance does a better job.
