MS has so much money because they know how to strategically cut an 18,000 job unit that isn't being profitable, sure that sucks for those 18k people, but moves like that ensure that the other 500,000 employees continue to work. Or they could let that 18k unit burn through cash until the whole company goes under? Decisions decisions.
