Oh really? And what do you play? Its funny when people who don't know a lick about music try to talk like they know it.
I would imagine you also don't know what it takes to make music whatsoever.
Its funny, those classically taught people DO have more talent than your self-taught fools. Its an easy thing to know when you're into music and teach yourself that you NEED at least some classical training to even comprehend the music. That band you mentioned? Classically trained. No idea why you think they're self taught. Just because you don't learn your music in a band room in high school doesn't mean you aren't classically trained... In fact I highly doubt without the aid of Wikipedia you'd even know what that means. Seriously, stop trying. You obviously have no idea what you're talking about.

Why thank you for asking! I happen to play acoustic guitar, bass guitar, mandolin and harmonica. All self taught. Ever hear of a guy named Johann Sebastian Bach? Funny thing. He was self taught! Beethoven had tutors but you didn't see him marching his pansy ass out on the FOOTBALL field (notice it's not called the marching band field). I'm sure your "classically trained" band geek friends are much more talented than them tho. You've really proven your point there. And the "band I mentioned" is not what you think it is lol. And definitely was not classically trained. Are you planning on making even a single solid argument today?

Um ... Yes, those composers were classically trained. In fact the music they WROTE was recorded and noted as classical music shortly after it was produced. They used classical Italian notation, and I really don't know why when you say "self-taught" you realize they had teachers who were classically trained, teaching them in the traditional style. Because they came up with their own music doesn't mean they weren't classically trained. I play flute, clarinet, guitar, bass, sax, drums, my vocal range covers bass to soprano, and I have a moderate knowledge of You play the funniest combination of instruments, and my guess is you're terrible at them or are just lying. Mandolin is tuned to a major chord and is incredibly easy to play. Harmonica is also one of the easiest instruments to learn. I can't imagine how hard even a lower level band teacher would laugh at you for what you're saying. I am simply going to not read any further comments by you as you are either full of yourself or a troll.

It's okay tho, I'd bow out if I were getting my ass kicked this bad too.

Self taught means taught themselves. Thought that much would be clear to you. Bach literally taught himself to play and compose music. -blam!-, you're dense. I play an "odd" combination of instruments huh? I play instruments that are relevant to where I was brought up and my heritage, numb nuts. You only play instruments that have pretty much no relevance to anyone that's not stuck up their own asses with their "vast musical background" aka a couple of years of god damn high school music class LMAO. I would love for a music teacher to laugh at something I say. Then I can laugh at their "degree" lol. Thanks for stopping by kid, glad I could put you in your place.
