Problem here is that its mentioned on a PlayStation forum, where most Xbox players most likely would have little reason to venture to. So yes this is pretty new information for most Xbox users. This one is on U.S. forum, nevermind:-D

It was mentioned elsewhere also. I couldn't remember the site address but Activision also released this information around the time alpha was released in a statement

Still, not everyone follows every press release either. It should have been noted at the time of the purchase (even if it was in small print on the receipt or something) that some of the content for xbox was going to be withheld for at least 1 year. Just my opinion though.
