You got me this time Bungie. I should've informed myself more about the PS exclusive content bullshit. I, like a fool, purchased the DG edition that included the half assed DLC. That one's on me I guess.
It won't happen again.
As small and insignificant as my contribution may be to the Bungie machine (built by xbox of course), you'll never get another penny from me. I hope other Xbox owners do the same.

Yea cause the people were just a-hurtin' themselves to play some Marathon... Microsoft provided Bungie with a platform to reach MILLIONS of gamers they wouldnt have otherwise due to an oversaturated PC game market. The xbox's engine was created specifically with Bungie in mind as they were given full access to its hardware way before it hit the market or any other developers even knew what it was. They may as well have called it the Bungie Box.

Halo didn't sell on pc nearly as much as it did on Xbox. 2 reasons: PCs are more expensive and the game market is oversaturated. At the time Xbox had the best hardware of that generation of consoles.

It's not that ps has extra content, it's that we on Xbox are paying the same money for a fraction of the content and to be if it was only a small part of the dlc it wouldn't be such an issue. If xbone players are only getting half the content, we should only have to pay half the price

For now. As weak as the overpriced DLC is, how long will they stick around? Who will trade in their PS as the Halo juggernaut picks up speed? Who will tire of DeeJ and his cryptic promises and mutterings and the devs who don't listen in favor of 343 who has built a reputation of listening to their customer? Who will simply move on to more engaging PS properties? What would you rather do, play Bloodborne or grind yet another bounty that you've already done 100 times? I do love Destiny, or rather the idea and promise of it. But bullet sponges and AI that walks in a straight towards you in waves and gear that I'll never get to have no matter how well I perform is just not worth it. Join me and build your legend somewhere else, brother.

Head starts count for a lot in the games industry; Sony had that. Sony had a better plan going in, a plan that MS is starting to successfully emulate while developing their own unique approach. There's no denying MS got off to a rough start. But things are starting to turn around, and Halo is a big part of that. FWIW part of the Halo culture is replay. The campaigns are incredibly solid and have huge amounts of nostalgia attached to them; even though the 4 Halo games have been out a while, 343 is attaching new content to the MCC. The big difference between 343 and Bungie at this point is that 343 has built a reputation for listening to their customers. At Bungie, it is an inside joke that customers get so furious about DeeJ's style of communicating. I can appreciate that Bungie has a vision and they are sticking to it but at some point something has to give. Bungie is losing sales under their current plan and ultimately that will affect Destiny, a game I love despite its flaws.

Its pretty sad really. As a long time Xbox owner, I had SO much respect for Bungie and what they were doing at the time. Halo CE was the first game I'd ever played in the original Xbox/PS era and I became a Bungie fan & loyalist instantly. It was the whole reason I bought an xbox. But this shit...Destiny... Pfft. Nothing but a major, high-dollar run-around. I mean seriously, this has all been some ole' back alley sketchy shit from launch. Outside of the way this game looks, which is BEAUTIFUL you have... Sleezy roulette table styled in game character progression mechanics designed to lure you in like a casino to keep playing (which shouldn't be necessary if the game was already both fun AND FULL in the first place).... Repetitive mission content which wouldn't even be so bad if there was just more of it... No real story to be immersed in which is actually a HUGE step back from your previous franchise. I don't know WTF happened there. Other than in game movement mechanics, that was your bread and butter... The social aspect design of the game is just a plain contradiction of what you actually said you wanted. Thank god for party chat... Even with all of that, most of us all just said "Hey, it's Bungie. Of course they'll get this right. They've been doing this for years." Then after all the "Super Mega Ultra" editions that include DLC have been purchased, you sneakily slip in this "For the best Destiny experience, play Destiny on Playstation 4" bullshit which translates to "-blam!- you loyal xbox gamers who at one time were the main source of putting food on our tables" The DLC is small as shit even with the exclusives. So how are you going to give even less of that as paid content? AT THE SAME DAMN PRICE! No one cares if it's timed. Do you think that after this slap in the face that the majority of xbox gamers are even going to want to play your game in a year? Yea maybe I sound a little personal and butthurt, but this feels personal and is very shitty. After the DLCs that I've already paid for release and I've played around with them long enough to feel like I've gotten my monies worth. I'll never buy anything else with sell-out Bungie's name on it again.
