Gamestop's window signage clearly stated, Exclusive Content Released First Only On PlayStation; Dust Palace, Exclusive Exotics, etc.
It never ceases to amaze me how XBox only players are so hurt and offended that Sony got the "content first" clause instead of Microsoft this time. Why is this?
PS users had to wait until Mass Effect 3 dropped to get more of the ME1 content beyond a digital comic. How many CoD releases received content first on Xbox? So now that the Xbox players are experiencing the frustration associated with, what in my opinion is a ridiculously idiotic business practice period, of receiving delayed content, the developers are wrong to make Xbox players wait. How dare Bungie do this?
All I can say to any gamer offended by this issue is get over it! This practice will continue until we, the gaming community who encourages this practice with both our media purchases and feedback, say, "NO MORE!" Either the majority of Xbox, PS, or Wii owners stops purchasing media sold this way, thus making media developers reexamine the "exclusive" content practice; you can deal with it and continue supporting developers as the current business model supports; or make both Microsoft and Sony, and Nintendo too, all happy by purchasing both systems, and then the media for whichever system gives you the best value.
