Someone else posted this and I can't remember who so I can't give him credit, but this info wasn't my own. So I'll put it in quotes. "According to the contract between bungie and activision, that is public due public record laws. A new game comes out every other year, with 4 DLCs each. So four games total, 60 dollars each equals 240 bucks for all the games, and 4 DLCs each for 20 bucks is 80 dollars. Each game then equals 140 bucks just to get to max level assuming they increase light level each DLC, multiply by 4 games and you'll spend 560 dollars to play the whole series in it's entirety over the 10 years."

Also add in the 50 dollars to get online for a year just to be able to play the game and the whole series will cost you about 1060 dollars over 10 years.

If this is all really true, then how about you compare it to $12-15/mo every month to play another MMORPG. $12 x 12mo x 10yr = $1,440. Sounds like Destiny should easily come in less than that if you're only interested in knowing how much you'd spend over the entire story. And I would still take Destiny in that argument since you'd be getting new games every other year AND DLC where most MMO's are just expansions.
