Guess I never thought of it that way. Just frustrating, this is the second time I've gotten an exotic weapon and xur gets it the same week lol.

I can understand your point of view though. I think a good way to handle it would be for XUR to offer some exotics but, others are only available by gaining the engrams and by work/luck. I don't think people should have to wait for "luck" to get some exotics because for some that time will never come or will take forever like it is for me. I think it needs to have a tier system. Xur should offer some decent exotics (possibly tier 1 exotics) but, the best exotics (tier 2 or tier 3) in the game should be earned through a special bounty or raid or whatever. I think that would be a way to please both sides. I personally don't care if I have best weapons in the game as long as they are serviceable. I hate getting the same weapons over and over again in rare and legendary engrams. None of which have ever turned into an exotic. I have 4 exotic weapons. 2 from exotic bounties in which the guns really suck and 2 purchased (ice breaker and patience & time). Had I not been able to buy either of those, Id still have no decent weapons except what I have bought from the Vanguard. The guns bought from Vanguard are not as good as exotics and are expensive, especially with the 100 mark cap. Having the tier system would allow lucky people like you to feel like they have earned a special weapon for their efforts and this weapon will not be seen everywhere. Its a true show of what someone has accomplished rather than being easily bought. All the while, this system would still be providing the unlucky folks with the chance to buy decent gear. I think its the best way to handle it personally.
