So I should save my shards and not upgrade my raid armor? Or I will just have to start over with "new" raid armor to get to level 32? Could you explain the advancement from 30 to 32, in a way that does not prove to be a waist of dozens of hours of work upgrading armor, Please.

It's pretty easy to get shards daily. Do the daily mission on the hardest level. You're guaranteed either 2 shards or 2 energies. Then do a public event each day. You get either a shard or an energy for your first daily public event. The vault of glass is very entertaining. Get to level 30. You will have an advantage when you do the next raid after the expansion comes out.

This is similar to my issue now. I need to upgrade one piece of armour to get 1 more light then I'll hit level 28 and hopefully be able to solo the weekly heroic and join a team for the raid. There will be no point upgrading my armour further unless I get raid armour and since I'm behind the curve, as soon as I do that it'll be time to do the new raid and scrap my armour again! Frustrating.
