So, I get it that people are mad because of having to wait for content and having to pay for content ... But look at it this way. Keep the game for two years and they'll bundle the xpacs and you'll get them cheaper! Plus have a bunch of content that is new to you! It's not perfect but still. I've done it with other games, you can too.
And as far as people being upset about no matchmaking for the raid ... Think about it. How many times are you running tiger strikes and one idiot is either afk to begin with or rage quits or whatever. I've either soloed or duo'd more strikes than I can count, and it's just a lvl 24 strike that takes about 20 minutes. How well would match making work for a 1-2 hour raid, we aren't even talking about hard mode. You can't run matchmaking and then have 1 or 2 people leave...it would suck! And how would checkpoints work? You get to Atheon and then 2 people rage quit ... What then? You start over? Or does it start someone else at your checkpoint and they miss half the raid and drops. Matchmaking is a good idea in theory only. I know you don't want to but just find a non-elitist clan with a decent population and go from there. There are good people to raid with, but you have to put yourself out there. I promise it will be a better result than matchmaking. You NEED to screen the people you raid with.
Come on people Destiny is a damn good game. Give it time and stop expecting perfection. Just have fun!

The point is to have the option to enter into matchmaking like you do for strikes. Ideally, you would still reset all checkpoints on Tuesday and people would be placed into whatever checkpoint they last reached - sometimes mid fight to fill a disconnect or jumper, but most of the time at the beginning of each stage. Sure, unlock matchmaking only after the player has finished the raid once and make sure they have a mic. Of course, if you enter with 6 ppl then you won't be match made anyway, which is why I can never understand why there is any opposition to matchmaking by the hardcore lot in the first place! It's great that you have a group of people you play with regularly, but at first they were probably randos. I've finished the raid with an organized group who ran me through and one which took the entire week, almost 7 hours total with multiple randos from the tower. Both resulted in the same amount of satisfaction because, at the end of the day, it's about the loot. The raid itself is not that hard - the rate limiting factor is finding the people to play with and Bungie has already proven that they believe we are all interchangeable with random teleports. At this point, everything that matchmaking would otherwise achieve is attainable, but, just like the problem with the Grimoire, you have to leave the game to take advantage of third-party work arounds, which prove that it can work but that this game severely underestimates the sophistication and problem solving capacity of its player base - don't make the same mistake.

One issue with waiting on buying the dlc. You don't buy it you don't get t o play with friends that did get the dlc. Bungie is just slowly putting the preverbial shotgun in there mouth and the dlc is the triger pull.

Matchmaking raids with proper communication would do fine even elite clan have players go afk from now and then. And the diffrence is people HAVE to do strikes. and people WANT to do raids

Stop spreading misinformation! This is all conjecture and speculation.

That little itch - What Changed in Destiny?: http://youtu.be/fXW2FEJ4L4E Hummm... Seems I am finding many a video speculating the same thing. But sure... I could stop. And will. Honestly I love Destiny... Just wish it could be all that I have seen in previous videos l, and expansions where actually new stuff... I mean you can see Jupiter and Mercury as navigational places in the video I added... Any ways... I am just bummed out cuz I suck at PVP l, brought Destiny as I love the artwork, symbols, the in game factions, the merchandise that came with my addition, just all felt so polished, and finished, until I completed the game, and felt empty... Nothing was really answered... Like why is the rift queen chums with the fallen? Who's the chick who gives you a gun...? What the heck is Xur and the council of 9? And to hear the expansion isn't going to give to many answers I have been watching these videos, and thought I would share them. They do throw up some interesting points for debate, I wouldn't say they are misinformation l, not until the makers state that they are... To date I have had no replies from Destiny on any ideas I have places up, I have seen no expansions in story, no additional events for the story... Just more of the same and Pvp stuff.

The story is still being written. More will come. We just have to be patient. Plus use your imagination and fill in some of the details.

I'm sorry but I'm not sure how anyone can justify buying each "episode" of the story. That's one thing if the original "campaign" felt like it had an actual ending and this was sorta months/whatever length of time after. But we were left with a vague plot hole ending and the "to be continued" has to be brought..no.

Halo was nearly Perfect right from the Start. So why not Destiny?
