Oh Brother, Where Art Thou - I scrolled down and you claim Robert Johnson - the name is actually Tommy Johnson (both in the movie and the real musician).

I am aware that Wikipedia is not one hundred percent reliable, but I am sure the musician's name is Robert Johnson. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Johnson

Edited by Rai Paladin: 11/3/2014 8:16:56 PMVery interesting! Part way through the section about the legend, (second paragraph of "Various accounts") it mentions Tommy Johnson as the probable origin of the legend though, and there is further mention of it in this other wikipedia page (second paragraph from bottom under "Career" and "In Fiction" section). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tommy_Johnson_(musician) Ultimately, it looks like we are BOTH right! Yay internets! =)

Supernatural?
It's a reference to the legend that Robert Johnson sold his soul to the Devil at the crossroads so he could play guitar
Sorry, maybe I don't know what context you are using supernatural. Literally, or are you referring to a movie or something?

It's a show. A large part of the story revolves around making a deal at the cross roads. Robert Johnson had an episode dedicated to him and his music inspired a lot of season 3's plotline. Check it out the first five seasons are pure gold.

That's crazy, thanks for the insight. I will have to check it out.
