Boo you, whore.
I wish I was surprised, but at this point, I've just come to accept the fact that though this game was priced at $60 for both consoles, PS users seem to be getting a lot more for their money.
Since the DLC will only feature 90% (or less?) of the content for Xbox users, may we purchase the DLC at a proportional rate? That seems to be the most fair.

Or just get the better console and get the content...

I understand your point, but that's financially a bit irresponsible. There's no need for me to purchase a second console at this time when there aren't enough PS-exclusive games to justify throwing down another $400. I enjoy the Playstation platform very much. I still have a PS2 sitting happily on my entertainment center for when I wish to play Fatal Frame and Kingdom Hearts. When it came to deciding between the One and the PS4, I chose the One only because most of the online community that I was already gaming with was continuing forward with Microsoft. A PS4 is in the future, but not now. Here is my beef: why offer one game at the same price for two consoles, but offer extra content to those on the Playstation platforms? We both paid the same amount of money. I think I'm more than entitled to be upset that in order to enjoy this game and all of its content, Bungie expects me to trade in my console? And to be fair: if they were favoring the Xbox users, I would be just as upset for those on the Playstation platforms. I was part of a petition to bring Mass Effect to Playstation years ago, even though I didn't have one (and they did!). Why does it have to be a console war? We, as gamers, don't care about which console is better: we just want to enjoy the games! It is a shame that Bungie has taken part in restricting that.

Stating the truth isn't being a fanboy. Being in denial on the other hand...

I'm glad your choice in console makes you feel superior to others. I'm sorry your life is such shit that's all you have. Grow up, you're an embarrassment to the community.
-
Thank you! At what point did we, as a community, decide that our gaming platforms acquiesce such a ridiculous sense of entitlement or sense of superiority over others? I thought this was about enjoying the games and sharing our experiences with them, not saying "Bitch, I'm on X console while you're stuck in Y! You're mom is a whore! Oh, what forum is this...? Whatever, suck my dick." Responses like this make me wonder if they are a hop, skip, and a jump away from joining the GamerGate movement. Seems to carry through with a similar one-note and short sided mentality.

Edited by end: 11/2/2014 9:17:04 AMOnce again, I'm stating facts. I've had a few consoles (that's sarcasm, I've had most of them) and played on PCs and Macs. Played lots of stuff on lots of hardware.
So when the current generation came calling I looked at the following; Hardware Price Indies Etc. By every metric the PS4 was the better option, other than building a entry/mid-level gaming PC. However I was interested in Destiny, Division and a few others that would likely be console only so that wasn't really an option and honestly my primary rig is good so two would be redundant.
So go ahead with your reddit/4chan bs, whatever you need to tell yourself so that $150 camera and poor GPU doesn't seem like a second class console. Just forget the part where it took a special patch and lots of work to get the XBOne from the Beta 900p to the release 1080p, whereas my PS4 was at 1080p from the alpha.

Why are you making this about which console is better? I never made an argument for that. I think you are reading far beyond the context of my original post. I do not want to make enemies with you, but can't you at least agree that promoting this divergence between consoles is unnecessary? (On Bungie's part) Unless you really want my opinion on which console is superior, in which case I would be happy to discuss that with you.

I'm pointing out that this timed hating of content is common with consoles. The content will come to the XBOne in a year so arguing you should pay less is a bit silly. As far as arguing re consoles it's a moot issue, the specs are the specs, the sales are the sales, the features are the features. Anything beyond that is preference, which is fine since its a game system.

Ps gets extra content early on top of the dlc the dark below. Its not part of it.
-
I understand that; it just seems a bit unfair to offer the game at the same price, even though it does not have the same content.
-
It does though, you just get it later on xbox and don't worry your not missing much atm. The best strikes are on both.
-
Didn't they say it would be at least a year? And would it be free, or would we have to pay more on top of what we are already paying?
-
Fall 2015 so yes probably about a year. I would say it will be a paid xbox exclusive dlc pack with 3-4 strikes, new weapons and armour.
