You do understand level isn't static in Destiny, right? Get new gear, drop down to 27-28, level back to 29-30. It's a core mechanic. Also I was ridiculing your SINGLE 28 character. One character? Weak sauce...

I was laughing about the single character at 28, considering most can level three to 25-26 in a few days. Also, my main in jinxed, has never had a single armor drop for him (lots for the 'lock and Titan), so he hangs out at 29. When the banner is back in sure I'll get 30 or maybe I'll break my streak. Either way, still having fun.

Current generation consoles are PS4 and PS4, the WiiU was previous gen along with PS3 and XB360. They're nearly the same except for the PS4 having the slightly beefier version of the same GPU, the "required" $100(now $150) Kinect and an OS/UI that is using resources to such an extent that the console has issues running many games at 30fps/1080p. In the end they are. They're just basic entry gaming pcs with proprietary os's and overpriced software in the end.
