I'll avoid voting for one reason: It depends on the character I'm using. If I'm playing as my Titan, probably in the mood for using Auto Rifles and Shotgun for the most part. My Warlock is my Scout Rifle/Pulse Rifle and Fusion Rifle user, while I use a Hand Cannon and Sniper Rifle for my Hunter. Though I will say I do use a Sniper Rifle on all of my classes from time to time, as there are situations where their abilities really just seem to fit for a sniper rifle situation.
