While I think that would be awesome, I don't think it would work because they've specified that you can only equip 1 exotic armor piece, and 1 exotic weapon, and the class item counts as an Armor Slot, a way to fix it would be to allow 2 exotic armor pieces, but then people can just equip an exotic helmet and chest piece
