The point about the gear is that the only way to max level is with raid gear (at least so far) which forces you to use it. Also, in terms of weapons, no matter how many shiny new exotics they give us, we only have so much vault space, and have been given no indication it would be increased (that I have seen). So I will choose the primary, special, and heavy weapon that suits me and dismantle the rest because there is no point in keeping the others. My disappointment here lies in the fact that it detracts from their goal of "every piece of gear having an amazing story behind it." Because all those amazing stories will just be dismantled for parts. As for the exploits, I have only done the raid with randoms, and they have all opted for the easy way out of pushing the Templar (and Atheon pre-patch) off the edge. It was boring, not the challenge I expected from the raid.
