How do you get rid of a save on vog?

How do you rid of a save? Im on the Atheon part for some reason. But i cant do it with anyone cuz theres only a few of us who play destiny and i want to start over. ik this may seem stupid to rid of a save on the last part but i have never been in the beginning.

When you normally select VoG with X, press square instead. It even says so; "Restart".
