How do people enjoy spectator sports? I have never understood this. Watching football is boring. Watching soccer is boring. It's not limited to meatheads and it's not an American phenomenon... People around the world love watching spectator sports, and I don't understand why.
To me, it's just as boring as watching someone play a video game. If you're not involved in the action, you're literally just sitting on your ass and watching other people play.
EDIT: I do enjoy athletic activity. (Although I'm pretty out of shape at the moment, so I haven't been doing much of it lately.) I ran track in high school and I used to enjoy real-life games of basketball, flag football, and capture the flag. I just don't understand the appeal of watching other people play sports and having absolutely no input yourself.

It's like spectating anything, you have to be into it.
