For the first week I defended Destiny. Week 2 and 3 I offered suggestions on how to turn the game around.
Now, I'm just looking forward to DA Inquisition, AC Unity, and MCC.
This game is a sham. This game is a travesty. This game is a mockery.
This game is a traveshamockery.
For the time and money put into development on Destiny they could have at least had a story line that made sense.
"You have been brought back to life by robo-Dinkledge. We will call you 'guardian'. The giant orb thing that travels through space is known as "the traveler." The traveler has given you bad ass super powers. Every story must have a good and evil so let's say the traveler is good, since it gave you bad ass super powers. We'll say that the good side is the light. Now there is something out there, nobody knows what, but something out there has to be the evil side. We'll call that "the darkness!" Yes, very sinister.
Since we don't know what the darkness actually is, you should go kill these aliens unquestioningly. Why? Hmmm...they serve the darkness? Yes, yes, they serve the darkness. The traveler has given you bad ass super powers so you should use them to go kill these different alien things that we will say serve the darkness.
Enter the "stranger" who says, "do what you've been doing and kill shit, and if you live, come find me and I will give you more shit to kill. In order to kill this shit you must go see the "queen." The Queen will tell you what to kill so you can get something that will allow you to go to a place where you can kill something else. Once you've done this, I will give you my gun, so you can kill more shit."
Oh yeah, and there is a "speaker" who speaks for the traveler. He tells you....things. Not many things though, as he is the voice of a dead planetoid, and dead planetoids don't have many things to say.
After you have killed shit for some time the "architects" will unlock more of the universe for you to travel to and...kill shit.
The end...for now. Please insert your wallet to continue the story of how much shit you'll get to kill.

Looking forward to DA too. My first char will be Magic hating Quinari with a Templar Spec. Gonna go all master race on Thedas! How about you? What class/race will you choose?

Well, as my gamer tag suggests, I am partial to rogues. I'm thinking Dalish dual wielder. I like dual wielding. Something about holding a blade in each hand while stalking around the battlefield just gets my blood pumping.

Let's just all agree this game can be great with the right changes! Changes I hope are on there way and the we're probably originally put in but then taken out to make the game more kid friendly. Cross our fingers

Could not agree more. I foolishly ran towards this game thinking of the treats inside to be met by a fist in the face as another hand reached out and stole £50 from my wallet. They then gave the check to offer you more of the same behind a pay wall. Perhaps worst of all is that I gave Bungie almost double the money for the limited edition. But who knows perhaps the new DLC will really enhance the game but as I gradually play less and less i doubt it will be enough to save the game for me. Can wait for the Master Chief collection to remember a time of Bungie supremacy. P.S Bungie that cheep stab at Microsoft by giving the PS players early access (of which I do not hate the players on the other side) is of no great impression to me. Have you really forgotten the players that brought you your success through your blind rage? I shudder to think.

What's odd to me is that if you don't like destiny why are you still playing it and posting in the destiny forums ? That's like me not liking cheese yet eating a whole bunch of cheese then posting on the cheese forums about how bad it was. Isn't it simple if you don't like the game don't play it trade it in for something else and never look back

AC Unity isn't out till the 11th, DA Inquisition the 18th. I am just waiting for something better to come along. Pretty sure I said as much in my post. Why did I take the time to post in the forums? Shits and giggles.

Hey man if you're an RPG fan you should really check out lords of the fallen. There's not nearly the character customization of DA or Souls series but it pretty much copied combat mechanics from Souls and did it well. The story is much more dialogue a cutscene driven, more like a western rpg. I'd highly recommend it to souls fans or anyone who considers themselves and rpg enthusiast.

Made me laugh for some reason. xD Although I think they're doing what they did with Halo: CE. Not much of a story to go off of at first, but it gets better. I can kind of tell that there's a really good, and in depth story behind Destiny that has tons of potential but it wasn't really presented properly. Apparently we killed some black heart squishy orb thingy and that was really important but it didn't feel like it. Why do something so drastic in the "storyline" when we don't even know why. I think that's the only part that really bothered me, because I feel like there's great potential for a good story here.

Wasn't the heart a piece of the Traveler? I thought by killing the Vex who guarded it, you returned the piece to it, thus allowing it to begin recovering.

Not a lot of in game clarification there. The deeper you dig into the story, the more you realize there isn't really one to find.

I think it was just something from the darkness that was stealing light from the traveler. So yeah, you're right. But restoring light to the traveler is pretty much the main reason why guardians are fighting, and being able to take out something so important so quickly is just confusing. And didn't feel very significant. "Think you can kill a [b]God[/b]"? Apparently we killed a God already.

You are not alone there. This was meant to be stupid funny, but if it rings true, well then it rings true. Like I said I defended Destiny in the beginning because I saw the potential. However, after other games come out that have complete stories at launch, I just can't see continuing to pay for a game that should have been great from day one. Don't get me wrong, it was fun and had awesome graphics, but the fact I am using the word "was" already is telling.
