I've always thought it's pretty stupid to pay for dlc before you've even played the game. Let this be a lesson to you to be patient next time. It is your responsibility to look after your finances, and buying something that you know is non-refundable before you even know what it will be like is about as daft as you can get as a consumer. Don't play into their hands, make them work for your money.
