HTF and WTF do i get Ascendant Shards D: (heres some info)
Hey Guys so i know the hardest thing besides Mote and Strange Coins is obtaining Ascendant Shards (AS). See Ascendant Energy (AE) Isnt really that hard to come by honestly (for me) but AS are for some reason. Here's a few ways to obtain them:
Join a Fraction and get to lvl2. Once you do save up your crucible marks and purchase Legendary armor, and dismantle it. You should be able to obtain a few AS from that. 1 - 3 actually.
Another way is to perform public events. Once completed please know you'll have to wait a day to obtain another AS or AE. You also get mail after finishing a public event. Like i said i think its one per day, but you still have the chance of obtaining AS or AE.
You should already know by common sense taking apart Legendary weapons gives you AE.
If you have another way please share it with us all here. Besides you should all know performing Nightfall and Daily on 28 provides AS and AE. But if you find some other way share it. (Yes i know a run on sentence). Stay frosty guys. #Destiny

1 ReplyAscendant energy is worth much more once you have your main to lvl 30. i have a lvl 30 hunter and a lvl 29 titan and i have more shard than you could ever even use, but i have very minimal energy. its nice to have a lot of weapons upgraded fully for when there is different burns in nightfall, and just different mission in general(enemy shields). raid is the best place to get shards and energy but its still random. this past week i got about 30 shards or so and maybe 10-12 energy, and i dont need shards at all i prob have around 150-200. anyway all im saying is there will come a point when u hit max lvl and you wish u had energy and not shards.

I would recommend leveling up vanguard to level two instead of a faction as vanguard marks are much easier to come by (unless all you do is PvP). And obviously raid for a good amount

2 RepliesI dont think it is once a day for the public events. There has been multiple occasions where I get rewarded multiple times in the same planet. Plus you can get at least one reward from public events on each planet.

Daily heroic lv 28, buying/dismantling legendary armor, and raid chests. I think by now my alt character is at like, 50 something shards

If you do the daily heroic story mission on the hardest difficulty you're able to get either two energies or shards daily.

1 ReplyRaid. That is all. There is a reason why sooooo many people get butthurt about JUST getting Shards/Energies from the Raid. They are EVERYWHERE!

#Destiny You can get more than 1 shard.energy per day for events btw. It does have a cap at around 3.
