Personally I'm not the slightest bit interested in PvP.
Therefore for me the 2 things I HATE about PvP are:
1) Being forced to participate in PvP for exotic bounties etc. This could easily be fixed by having options on what to do (eg get a 25 point spread in Crucible or complete 5 raids without dying), or even better have PvP and PvE only rewards with matching requirements.
2) PvP balancing effecting PvE gear. Balancing for PvP is a necessary evil, but why should all the PvE gear become dull and samey because of it. Either have separate stats on gear for when it is used in PvP or PvE, or even better have separate PvP and PvE only equipment.

^ This! I am horrible at PvP so any exotic bounty is an absolute miserable experience to attempt. Going through half a bounty before realizing I needed a positive K/D was so frustrating. The nerfing of weapons because people gripe about anything that kills them as being OP is definitely 2. 1. See above. 2. See above. 3. The slippery slope of wanting a more balanced match up... IE: It would be nice to be put in with a group with similar (lack of) skills... but the downside would probably be the wait time. 4. Almost zero payout. I'm horrible at it. I admit it. Twelve games and I didn't get anything for ten of them. The other two times it was blue weapons. RNG is not kind to the sucky player, either. The incentive to play outside of exotic bounties is the same sort of incentive to make an appointment to get a tooth pulled. 5. People who are on opposite teams, calling out/standing by where people are. I suck at it but would never resort to that.
