When I first starting playing Destiny, the obvious choice for me was out of a Warlock and a Hunter. I figured that people who liked Warlock were a sophisticated people. We were those who enjoyed asking questions, knowledge, mystery, art and enlightenment.
Hunters were people who liked adventure and discovery, stealth and challenge.
But Titan players? Titan players were clearly uneducated and uncouth. A people to avoid. They were those who always took the easy way out.
Afterall, why else would somebody pick a Titan and go into PvP with a Shotgun? Who else could enjoy running around the map punching people in the mouth, barging them and kneeing them mid air? Panic Fist of Havoc and dancing in their bubble on a flag then tea-bagging anyone who enters after certain death? These people must be the dregs of society.
Or so I thought...
Outside of PvP, the Titans are very useful! I am always in awe of the tools that they have to protect other guardians. Most of all in the Raid. I am actually dismayed if we have less than two Titans on the team.
But there is more to Titans than their part in the game. The people who pick Titans - the real life person - the players behind the Titans; are the nicest people that you can find!
I'm dead serious! I was just looking at my friend list and I came to realise that the people who have made the best conversation, been the most helpful, made me laugh the most, encouraged me when I have struggled; have all been Titan players.
Titan players are not only very useful in the game, but they are very intelligent people who know how to have fun and they are simply a joy to be around!
Take a moment to look at your own Destiny friends. Let's see if its just me or not. I have a feeling that it won't only be me who sees this. Titan players can troll you hard in PvP but they are really nice guys!
Beneath all of that argy-bargy bravado, beneath the heavy armour and testosterone lies a real heart of gold. Without Titan players, the community would be at a huge loss. They are to our credit and they are the needle that sews together the very fabric of our community.
They built the wall around the Last City. And I can assure you that when the Darkness returns, we will be in need of every Titan that we can find.
I used to hate Titans like you...
But now I have come to love them and they are my best friends. If you haven't got a Titan buddy yet, I implore you to find a few. You won't regret it!
Perhaps, just like the Unfriendly Giant, Titan players are simply misunderstood. Or perhaps a little shy (although more often than not a little overconfident).
But who could blame them? They make everything look easy, but they are really working hard to protect and look after us all.
Titans, you have my thanks and my respect. I celebrate you. I salute you.
And I really... really... REALLY... enjoy your Disco Bubble Dance Parties!
This, coming from a Warlock and Hunter player, and a Thorny Guardian.
See you all Starside.

Was my go to class at the start and I love it in pve. In pvp I favor the other two classes

*sniffles* You like me now?

Great, we're still not teaching you Blink.

I just like playing a Titan because I've always played support in other games. I think it's the best roll. I prefer to either take out mid tier-low tier enemies as fast as possible while my squishier friends take out bosses and majors. If I'm going down the Disco Bubble path, I usually generate orbs of light with melee kills and my super. I just feel like the only class done correctly was the Titan's two subs and the warlocks Sunsinger class.

I played as a titan in the beta. Have loved them ever since. When i got the game i decided to make my titan character right after my warlock choice, which was who i was gonna play as first. I play all 3 classes equally, but since the beta i have always had a soft spot for the titan class. I still do. Thank you for sharing this

As a Titan, i approve of this message :D

I started with Titan because I knew it was the class for me, and then figured out Bladedancer is very fun and Sunsinger was my perfect "Praise the Sun" subclass. Titan is still my favorite class, and I'd still take their powerful armor over any fancy cape or long cloak anyday, but I still love my Warlock and Hunter, and enjoy the different aspects of gaming with them.

Force Barrier is the best melee skill tree hands down. I lament how shitty the Sunsinger one is in comparison.

Edited by SEV THE DEV: 11/5/2014 9:02:24 PMthis is why i play 3 classes ... so i don't know what i am =S

Must admit I was the same as you but I'm now running a titan and I love it l :p. I enjoy it so much I deleted my main just to keep playing my new titan

Aww I want disco bubble parties 😭😭

Awesome post! I chose Titan over the other classes because it seemed like a good way to learn the game. RNG forced me to make the other classes, but they're growing on me too. I'd like to think my team mates appreciate me when I put up WoL, and love to see others share my bubble. I am sometimes a little worried that I am placing it in an unfortunate location or accidently obstructing someone. Most other guardians, not just titans, have been easy to get along with-- but Warlocks seem to have a little bit of superiority complex. See you out there!

the other day i paired no backup plans with melee drops orbs. and dropped and insane number in strikes.

I'd like to think besides for protection and sheer power output, we Titans are out there to keep the Warlocks and Hunters from tearing each-other apart.
