You've all been asking for it, so here we go again.
Scenario: You're all in the distant future on a MASSIVE space station city orbiting a gas giant out in deep space (because everything good in a sci-fi game happens in such a place,) far away from Earth's solar system. Everything is handy dandy when all of a sudden; space zombies. Shit has hit the fan, and everything has gone to crap. Entire sections of the station have been infected; breathing the very air will kill you. You must find a way to survive, whether you solo this new danger or band together and thrive. Anything goes; you can kill other players, start your own little civilization, really anything. This is a sci-fi RP sandbox game. Anything is allowed so long as you don't break the game (kill everybody, destroy the station, etc.)
Use Dead Space 2 and Halo as a reference for the space zombies. You get bit or cut by a zombie or attacked by an Infector; you're screwed.
Post to join, and I'll spawn you in with weaponry. Everybody starts in a safe zone in the middle of the station. You can not chose what you spawn with. The safe zone is a no weapon area, meaning you can NOT kill other players while in this area. All weapons are disabled.
Enemy name: The Plague, a sci-fi species of my own creation. I'm currently writing an entire sci-fi universe and they're a pretty big part of it. They draw inspiration from the Flood and Necromorphs. I'll provide some details on them and the current types we have of them.
Biological traits: The Plague is a cellular infection with the ability to rapidly reproduce; all it takes to infect a lifeform is a single cell entering your system; whether its through the air you breath or if it forcibly enters your bloodstream. Food and water can be contaminated; no organic life is immune to infection, whether it is flora or fauna. Infected beings such as humans will almost immediately have their skeletal systems reworked; with arms becoming stakes or blades of bloodied bone; bones being expanded and turned into organic armor. Infected creatures are highly regenerative due to the rapidly reproducing Plague cells; which replace or infect the host's original cells. Can also "infect" machines and automated beings by filling them with sufficient biomass that can interface with the controls and circuitry. Cells can be transmitted through blood, water, organic material, and skin contact. If there is access to weaponry or metal, infected can merge with it and rework the structure of metal and turn it into makeshift body armor, and can rework their bodies to add weapons to them (growing their arms around firearms, blades, shrapnel, grow limbs to allow for shoulder cannons, etc.) The Plague will use whatever resources they have access to to further their goal of universal infection. Nonstrategic for the most part, their only objective is to infect and grow; whether it is cell by cell or galaxy by galaxy. They can not ever truly be destroyed or stopped; only slowed.
Current forms:
Infected - Base infected form for organic creatures; slight skeletal reworking, often times seen with firearms merged with their arms or with blades made of shrapnel and ultra-hardened bone replacing their hands or entire arms. Same speed as the average human, above average strength. Regenerative abilities heightened, can slowly heal from having entire limbs removed. They almost always look like a demonic version of the original being; due to their skeletal system receiving little to no reworking.
The Reaper - An approximately 9 foot tall bipedal monstrosity, has unnatural strength and is capable of lifting 4 -5 times its own weight. Near instantaneous regenerative abilities; high tolerance to damage. Can completely regenerate from absolute destruction so long as even one of it's cells remain. If it is completely destroyed somehow, it will begin forming from any Plague biomass. Immortal and essentially unstoppable; this creature can rip through armies and civilizations; taking even the most destructive of damage; whether it be a mere bullet or a nuclear explosive. Can survive planetary destruction. It is the very idea of the Plague incarnate: immortal, unkillable, unstoppable. Can rework any resources at its disposal to increase it's effectiveness; assimilating even the hardest of metals into it's body. As a default arsenal, it has four long limbs with large and sharp blades composed of ultra-hardened organic matter; capable of cutting through titanium as if it were cardboard; and its feet have three razorsharp talons of equivalent damage potency to it's arms, with each talon being the size of a human hand. It has no eyes but its other senses are heightened to the point of where it appears it could see you. Its maw is lined with dozens of large "teeth" capable of shredding even the thickest of armor. It's head bears a striking resemblance to that of a killer whale; but with its large teeth preventing the mouth from ever being fully closed, giving it's mouth an ever-present appearance resembling a devilish and disturbing "smile."
