[b]FUSION REACTOR BREACH: SWARMHOLLOW EXTERMINATION MISSION[/b]
Starting new subthread to collect all activities in the ongoing fight to halt the formation of a swarmhollow.
Recap: Fighters are current gathered outside of the station prepping to obliterate or at least stop the harbinger.
Aero is inside one of the gamma tubes connecting to the reactor and is making his way towards it in what appears to be a suicide mission.

Edited by aero198: 11/6/2014 3:48:40 AM*i slam into the hull of the station as the cannons rip through space into the portal I made incinerating sledgehammers that were pouring out hitting the reactor core* *i feel the heat from the main guns even through my rig and space and pain shooting through my left arm and I know it broken. I turn back towards the old station, my retro thrusters having controlled my impact from becoming a deadly dead spiral in space, and fire a new portal into the station closing the one the canons fired at as the flash from the core exploding flashed across it. My rig's radiation sensors begin wailing as the lower half of the old station blew apart*

I can't let you do that....[/i] *radio* SM fire the cannons now! *i kick off the wall I was on and angle myself to a wall facing the reactor core, firing the portal gun moments before I would have collided with it shooting me into open space. The air rushing behind me accelerates my movements and I look up to the Furri station ahead of me with its intimidating guns aim right in my direction* *I blow the C4 and a flash behind me confirmed that it damaged the fusion core*

[i]shit... Gotta make it to the hull of their station before those cannons heat up![/i] *i activate my nitrous thrusters, propelling me at a breakneck speed towards Furri Station as I see the glow of plasma cannons and rail guns preparing to fire at the small target behind me*

*I clutch my portal gun in my left hand as I prepare for the situation about to unfold. I loosen the pin on a smoke grenade with a thin wire tied to it and push it out into the open space at a speed that it would be unnoticed by the plagued below toward the opposite side of the room* [i]once it reaches the end of the wire, about 500 meters by my guess, the pin will fall out because of the tension and that's when I'll begin my move...[/i] *I sweat nervously as it floats away and I cut all visible light from my suit and open the hatch enough to slip out and place my feet in anticipation of launching myself towards the mass.

Just 50 meters to the target[/i] *the other grenades go off, the smoke stagnant in the null-g making it near impossible to see through them. I grab onto a rail behind the mass taking in the enormity of it* [i]if this works Im definitely buying those guys attacking the harbinger a drink[/i] *concealed in the shadows I plant the C4 at the base of the largest connectors to the core running to the mass and prepare to launch back to the access hatch when I hear the core whine as it prepares to use its exhaust* [spoiler]im giving DM so many chances to screw with me... Wonder if he'll bite[/spoiler]
