So, I've been waiting to get my hands on a MIDAS Multi-Tool for weeks. I keep hoping Xur will sell it, but no luck. I even speed run tiger strikes in hopes of an RNG blessing, rare as they may be.
Less than an hour ago, I started in on a Nexus strike. We got to the cave path that leads to the boss when my 2 year old son, who has a nasty cold, started crying for me through the baby monitor. Naturally, his well being takes priority, so I ran upstairs to soothe him. He was particularly upset, so we sang songs for 15+ minutes.
After I got him back to sleep, I came downstairs expecting to see the "Still There?" screen. To my surprise, I was at the beginning of the Devil's Lair strike. I checked my inventory to see if I had a new blue engram, indicating I got credit for the last strike. In utter disbelief, I found myself staring at the MIDAS!!! I'm still shocked by this, and I'm sure those random teammates are disgusted that someone who was AFK got it.
Yes, this story sounds like fiction. If I read it, I might have a hard time believing it. I don't really care if anyone believes me, because the MIDAS is mine now. For all you investigative reporters, feel free to inspect my inventory and check my posts over the past week. I've stated several times how I wanted to find this beast.

I would still prefer a VOC, but since that hasn't happened, I'll gladly take it.

Another mida fan here! Last week, my friend was doing tiger strikes. He was on the nexus (go figure huh?) and both his teammates left him. So he asked me to join in and help him. So I did thinking I'll get at least a couples blues out of it. When we killed the boss, I was in my inventory clearing greens from it. My friend says that in the kill feed I found MIDAS multi tool. I refused to believe him, because he received mida awhile ago and has been teasing me that he had it and that I didn't. Anyway needless to say we get to the reward screen and sure enough, that beautiful gun is sitting in my reward slot. I've never stopped using it since. Congrats on mida by the way! Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

I'm glad you got your gun and all, and it's cool that you have your priorities straight, but I think the proper ettiquete there is to leave the strike. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt though and assume you thought you would be back faster. Gratz on the mida

Grats dude. I see that as instant karma.
