Seriously, think about it. If you had a boss like phogoth, or even more massive event, how would the last gen consoles handle it? If you had an event like this you'd need a big boss, worthy of many fireteams fighting (upwards of 20). So you have 40-60 players fighting a huge boss in a hugely graphically demanding environment. Now what boss would be complete without a horde of minions to back him up. Now you have upwards of 5-10 enemies for each player. Not so bad, right? That's only... Let's take a review here.
40-60 players throwing around grenades, activating Supers, and shooting at enemies.
200-600+ thrall sprinting around, Knights firing their blasters, Ogres firing their nova beams at you, wizards costing the field in poison gas/energy blasts, and acolytes firing at you.
One or more huge made to order boss for everyone to chise down
Environments already pushing the limits of last gen consoles.
Sounds cool doesn't it? I think so too. But how do you expect old gen consoles to handle this? This would likely even be pushing the limits of next gen consoles. I can only see this easily happening on pc, where one may adjust their graphic level to suit their pc.
