That was uncalled for but it's not my fault that you enjoy killing pointless adds because it suits your capabilities pretty well, you're probably not very useful on a fireteam, I'll assume- right? Sorry, rhetorical question
-
LMAO, I don't know if you're aware of this, but a lot of people actually like shooting things when they do strikes. It's a first person shooter, go figure! Now, putting aside the fact that this is a FPS and you just said that shooting things was pointless (lol), there are plenty of reasons why someone would want to stay behind and shoot the adds. Finally, from looking at the poll, one can safely assume that not everyone who does a strike falls into the 'runner' category, which means that you just admitted to not being a good team player since you would rather run through the strike in 5 mins, even if the other two people in your fireteam are completionists and want to stay back and enjoy the game. A crazy idea, I know. So on the contrary, it would be you who would be completely useless in a fireteam, since all that you would be worried about would be finishing the damn thing as fast as possible. lmao. I do give you points though for the warm chuckles your comment gave me xD For a second there I thought it was Christmas!

I don't care if they stay behind, more kills for them. People don't play a strike to get drops from adds but to finish and get the post-game rewards. If they want to get drops then why not go play patrol on Earth? You have just a good of a chance of getting a legendary engram from a level 4 dreg as you do from a level 24 cabal. If being a "completionist" is your thing then I won't stop you but I have my own way of playing and getting criticized out of nowhere isn't my favorite thing Go ahead and reply, please entertain me some more- I'll even share some popcorn with you
People don't play a strike to get drops from adds but to finish and get the post-game rewards.
LMAO! These comments of yours are comedy gold! How the do you know the reasons for why people do strikes? This is just an uninformed statement. Sure, engrams drop from enemies on patrol, but one encounters considerably more enemies while doing a strike and so the odds of engrams dropping is also considerably higher. I speak from experience, but this is just plain logic. It's also something you would know if you bothered killing all those adds that are starving for your attention. Not to mention the guaranteed rewards at the end. You make it sound as though strikes are designed for people with the 'runner' mentality. But if that were the case, then strikes would be designed so that you could just go from the beginning to the boss without hitting any checkpoints (the devil walker, the cabal guards, the hellmouth gate etc.). If being a runner is your thing, I won't try to stop you either. But in a game where a fireteam is composed of random people, and you want to skip all the way to the end, you aren't a good team player at all. If a team mate goes down in a spot that you shamelessly skipped past, you can't revive him. And if YOU die in a respawn restricted zone while being the only one there, then the whole team gets wiped.
-
I think it's majority rule here I'll keep running through strikes and you can kill enemies to your heart's content in patrol Everyone's happy, m'kay?
-
No, it isn't majority rule. This only proves that the people who voted on the forums are mostly runners. This does not reflect all the other players who have never even been on the forums. Only the DOC knows the real statistic. And like I said before, everyone is happy until the whole team has to wipe because one person died while trying to "run" through the strike.
-
You have the same likelihood of getting drops from the strike adds as you do from patrol.. and if you patrol right, you'll fight more enemies than you would in a strike. who's being silly now?
-
You have the same likelihood of getting drops from the strike adds as you do from patrol
Source, please. Until then, you are being silly.
-
I'm not silly..the source is bungie.. And the proof? Do you even loot cave?
-
No, actually. I don't loot cave. But I did in the past when they had the original loot cave. I did it once and found it painfully boring. By the way, I could tell you the same thing about strikes, that they give more engrams, and tell you that the source is Bungie too. I guess what I should have said is, Citation, please. Until then, you are being silly.
-
If I'm being silly then you're being at least as silly as I am being.. assume we're both not idiots.. assume my cryptarch rank is above 50, I'll do the same for you. My belief is that we both get engrams for the sole purpose of leveling up the cryptarch, and useslessly as of late.. I got more legendaries from it when I was below 20 than I do now. Honestly, what's the point for either of us to level our cryptarch, what's the point of blue engrams at all? Do you not have 20+ legendary weapons? cause if not, then I'd say your light level isn't proportionate to the amount of time it usually takes someone to get to your level.
-
Everyone has different experiences with the game. On average, doing a strike will yield me on average at least 4 blue engrams plus whatever the rewards are at the end. Maybe this has to do with luck, or maybe it's just that I literally always have the most kills of the fireteam. I do very well in strikes, they are good to me. You might be able to find out just how proficient I am doing strikes somewhere in my stats. I really can't say that strikes give more engrams than loot cave because like I said, I don't have the patience to do that and so I can't give any credible comparison between the two. But this was never even my issue with OP. My problem is that when you are doing a strike and you decide to go ahead of everyone else and you die in a respawn restriced zone, it screws your team mates over who actually like clearing a section of the strike of enemies before moving on to the next. Why? Because if you are the only one who dies in a RR zone, then the other people also die and are then spawned in the RR zone, locked away from previous sections. I agree about the cryptarch. And personally, I have way too many legendaries and exotics than I can even use at the moment, so engrams aren't even a priority for me anymore. I would happily pay $5 for an additional 20 inventory slots in my vault. Really, I don't care about engrams at this point.
-
Yeah I'd be willing to pay for more slots too.. I have 3 Titans and even I am running out of space.
-
LOL your so butthurt. And he is right. Don't slow people down if you want add kills go to patrol.
-
LOL, you don't know how to spell. Your opinions don't matter to me.
