You got something unintentionally from luck, whereas we get exotics intentionally with currency we earned. Sorry man, I earned my patience and time from Xür.

And exotic bounties are random to. But they don't count for this, because Xür never sells bounty weapons.

The chance to get the exotic bounties is random, however going through with the bounties is definitely earning the exotic. I earned Thorn God dam it.
