WHY NOT JUST COME TO ME?
Did I miss something? NO ACTION was taken against any member of this clan. The only action taken by me was to report a stream of obscene (not the fun kind) of msgs from a non clan member. Action was contemplated against a clan member for their inaction in the removal of the offending non member in accordance with one of the only 2 rules we have after repeated requests to do so. Since this was a first offense of this kind I let the matter drop. Is that what I'm guilty of? Was it my taking offense to violence directed at women? I'll tell you what I am guilty of. I am guilty of encouraging the development of leadership qualities in others by letting take the role during raids etc. I am guilty of not sticking to my guns and being open to suggestions as to how to accomplish various tasks. I am guilty of having an ultra high stress job (2 actually) that require me to make real life and death decisions and fix messes other people make, so sometimes I can be less tolerant of abhorrent behaviors and self-centeredness that can make myself and others waste 4 hours on something that should take 1.I apologize for that. I am guilty of helping others and having a the unreasonable expectation they would return the favor.This is foolishness as my crime. I am guilty of being cheesed at Bungie for their moronic loot drop system and have had my little fit over it, got over it, and now am merely bemused by it.
In conclusion, if you all wish to form a lynch mob, do so, You HAD the option of not going behind my back to do this, and had I been approached properly would have gladly formed a council to help get some things off my plate. Since I suspect I am the only member with real life experience with congresses, that my warning shot that someone still has to weld the power of override of council so you will still be stuck with a leader with power will fall on deaf ears. Figure it out.

2 RepliesThis is why I put my 2 cents in about a council. We HAVE a council. We have selected members to be admins. We have a hierarchy in place. This is NOT a democracy, although all voices are heard and considered. This is a clan with elders (admins) and a chief (founder). I felt i had to post on the "poll" about a council. What I read is akin to mutiny. If you don't want to sail under Whizdumb's flag, then get the -blam!- off the ship and form your own. Once you do, you'll realize that the way Bungie has set up this clan system, this is how it works. You don't vote on a leader, you have a leader, and in this case, one that busts her ass for the clan. If you feel you'd like to be an admin, then speak up! If you feel someone should not be an admin, you can speak up about that too. Your clan leader is Whizdumb, either show her some human decency and respect, or get the -blam!- out and start your own clan. This should not even be an issue as this involved a NON-CLANMEMBER abusing and harassing Whiz via messages. This right there breaks Microsoft's Terms of Service for Xbox Live, and should not have to be put up with by anyone. Absolutely NO ACTION was taken against any clan members, and any who left decided to do so by their own accord. I'm adding my voice that this matter be officially closed, and everyone move the -blam!- on.
