Just had a horrible Raid experience. Got a group formed from the forums. We've always got at least 3 ready to go so we looked for someone who needed 3 more people to start a normal raid from the start.
Eventually got enough and it all started out pretty well. Only one mistake at the beginning, a little trouble at gatekeeper, but all in all a pretty good time.
But once we got to Atheon, everything went downhill.
my friends and I are all willing to adapt to a groups playstyle. Unfortunately, after we got about halfway through the Raid, the Fireteam leader and her friend stopped talking. So we couldn't figure out how she wanted us to play. So my friends and the one random created a strategy that was easy and worked well.
We executed it, and the other two wouldn't adapt. wouldn't stay near us all when it was time to cleanse, and wouldn't stay where we would go when it was time to pull up the relic shield and attack. We tried to revise the plan and when we did the fireteam leader went AFK.
She came back, very angry, and yelled at all of us for not playing the way she and her friend knew how to play. Lots of vulgar language and name-calling. The one random decided he wasn't going to be a part of that, and left. She proceeded to rage at the three of us and then her friend left. She went AFK again while us 3 tried to do it ourselves.
Just and all around bad mix of people, and it was a shame we couldn't complete the raid in one full run. Luckily we found a group of friends that needed 3 and we executed it perfectly, got Atheon down and out in about 5-10 minutes.
What's your worst raid group experience?

Edited by metallicaNLC: 11/8/2014 7:55:36 AMThat really sucks. Probably worse than my worst. My worst is just being stuck at atheon not able to kill him in time before we end up wiping because we cant put enough damage into him, either because of incompetence of a couple of players or having lower levels with us.

My third time attempting the hard raid and I used destinylfg to gather a group. A group of 2 30s and 4 29s and they all said they were experienced. I was lvl 29 at the time. So we proceed to forming the spire and the team work is great. We open the gate fairly quickly (my previous team opened it quicker) and they all exclaimed " wow, that's the fastest I've ever gotten it open". At the moment I knew "I f#%^#d up". We spent the next 2 hours at the confluxes. These guys couldn't stay alive to save their lives. I was the only hunter and they would get mad that I couldn't self Rez and would complain about how I'm taking up a warlocks spot. I still pressed on cuz I thought if I bail, I shame hunters everywhere. An hour later and we still couldn't get past the confluxes. Next thing I know, I get kicked for not being beneficial even though I had the most kills and least deaths.

Sheesh. I wonder if they threw the last bit so you guys would leave and they could bring in their pals for the loot? That sucks, though glad you guys were able to finish.
