Not saying anything about the message you're sending, but I will say that the excuse" it's a game, get over it" Is hilarious.
It is a game. Some devs can spend years making....just a game...grown men and women...dedicating their lives...to...just a game.....Its not just a Job. ....an 8 hour shift at a grocery store.
In the end....is it really just a game? Just for money? ....if it is, that's sad. It only goes to prove the point. Of course a game cost money to make so money needs to be made as well as profit, but it's done for more than that.
Is a painting just a painting? A poem just words scribbled on paper?
It's not to justify the actions in question here...it's just to clear up...expressions of the imagination, art...art is always much more than just their material counter part.
I still wish we could get closure to what happened with Joe Staten. Was this finished product All scripted out by him? Do we tag ownership of the story to staten with all of its flaws?
Or did he bail and take his expressions with him, leaving a hollow husk to Work with....to mold an all new personality we still haven't seen yet?
I play the game still. The vidoc with Joe Staten was the sole reason I pre ordered destiny. You could clearly see the pride and joy on his face as he described the work...to just abandon ship before it sails?
Either he obliterated the story and lost his touch, or packed his bags and took his work so it wouldn't show up in the finished product.

I think that Joe was ran out because they wanted to gut his work and he wouldn't have it. Thats why we must stand for the revoloution! That way the big wigs at game companies can't just crush the dreams and hard work of those who actually poured their heart and soul into their work for extra profit!

I hear you man, But there has to be an alternative to putting someone's life in danger. That's over the top...even more so because we the consumer opted into this experience. This is my first time falling into the hype and pre ordering the most expensive version, and even buying the console exclaimed to have a better experience on... Its not all bad though. I probably would have felt better had I just gotten a normal copy though. Ps4 has some decent games to offer that I haven't tried out yet... But when you download a currently free game on psn and it has more story and personality in its first scene than Destiny has in all cut scenes put together...well damn. ... I'm referring to dust. I just recently downloaded it, and its a pretty cool ass game. Not bad at all since it was free.

Durst a Elysium (i know i spelled that wrong) tale? That was a pretty kick ass game, and DEF had a much better story

Yea that one. Man I love the animation of the game. I used to be heavily into games like castlevania, so games where you're in an adventure game with platforms, gaining abilities and items etc, are really fun. I've always wished I could find a really good co op game like That. I come from the original Nintendo generation. Lol So much co op games back then. Local couch co op. I've tried lots of games. I actually got Destiny because it felt like a blend of games I had all enjoyed all mashed into one epic game. Or so I thought.

Oh man they put a game out this month for the XB1 I don't know if it out for PS but its called Volgarr the viking. If it's on PS I'd highly recommend you pick it up. It's an old school 2d side scrolling platformed thats like an old arcade game, easy to die and unforgiving. Oh and on the note of couch co-op I was shocked recently that a arcade game was put out for Xbox that has NO XBL co-op its ONLY couch co-op it was called carriot seemed pretty legit. I'm hoping more indie game devs will start going back to the old school style of games.

I'll have to check that out. I'm actually going to buy an Xbox 1 today Or tomorrow to get the master chief collection. Its best when they have couch co op and live co op man. There's to much limit on gamers these days. For some games you basically have to kick your friend out to play online with them, or tell them bring their console and tv over. Anything else good on X1? I feel kinda guilty buying both consoles man, so much money on gaming...haha but I find comfort in the fact that Some people spend more money a year on a new phone.

Umm another real good old school style game that I fell in absolute love with was one called "super time force" it had a really unique game play style. One hit = death but each death you get to "rewind time" and start at any previous point and when you do there is a ghost of your last run and all that ghosts bullets still hit things. You actually need a decent amount of "ghosts" to get you through the level w/i the time limit.

Whoa. That sounds weird as hell haha. Cool though, I'm glad to hear some good stuff is on the new Xbox. Hey it's kinds ironic that we're having this discussion on games in this thread isn't it? One reply you're receiving hate mail, the other just talking about gaming haha.

I'm sure you could look up some game play vids that would show it better than I can explain it, it's def a cool and unique game mechanic. It is kind ironic though, you were the only one not to take me all super serious and reply with simple grade school insults haha so I don't mind having a meaningful discussion with ya, especially if it helps bring ya to the XB1 side ;)
