Well seeing as it's not marriage I'm against it. However if the people want to make up something like "same sex union of love" and give them all the legal benefits and stuff of a married couple then whatever.

They already have that, it's called a domestic partnership. Separate but equal, isn't equal.

Only in some states. Not all states allow domestic partnerships/civil unions

Ok so I guess I'm not getting through to you so lets try this. If two things are different but have the same or similar benefits (ex. working at McDonalds vs Burger King) then they aren't the same thing no matter what.

and I call it one step towards not destroying the definition of marriage.

Marriage is a social contract between two (or more) consenting members of legal age. Why does having two penises there destroy that definition?

Edited by Marinade: 11/8/2014 9:04:00 PMThat happened long ago. Since it's no longer acceptable to buy a bride that would suggest the definition of marriage has already been changed. Divorce would likely be a bigger destruction to the definition of marriage as it removed the until death part. It stopped marriage from being permanent declaration of love to being something that is just let's try this out and see how it goes. Marriage is now nothing more than a more expensive version of moving in with someone. Same sex marriage won't do anything to it.
