• I didn't hear about it? It wasn't on any public news. But now that I stumbled on this post and found out, I think higher of them.

They do it because they can. They don't advertise the fact. They could easily not do anything like everyone else. You guys need to sort it out, seriously. This is coming from a very cynical person btw. I think there need to be more mods around some of these threads need to be banned.

That's like saying you donate 5 dollars to a charity after you're friend donates four and your friends worship you and you didn't do it for that and someone calls you -burp-Er that -burps- kittens because you did the right thing and they thought you did it for your street cred

  • My question was rhetorical. You have none. Unless you were there and read their minds and souls and if you could do that - we should all stop going to churches because we already have the Creator in you. Oh my Holy Lord Fuxcap - please heal this little boy and strike those meany Bungie guys with the plague because you told us how evil they are.

  • Even if it is only for rep, it's still more than you've contributed to society. When you have more to offer than just cynical pessimism - maybe then your opinion will have some worth to it. Until then, please spare us your naive presumptions and negativity... There's already more than enough of those to go around.

  • Bungie is already rich. They don't need reputation. I think they were just being nice. Is it so hard for you to believe that they just wanted to make a kid smile?

Are you just going to ignore the fact that the child went through bloody surgery?!? I'm not sure I want to know how that feels, but I'd imagine that a goddamn organ transplant would be an incredibly stressful thing to go through. And you argue that Bungie would take advantage of that. Seriously. If you're not satisfied with Destiny/Bungie, then either leave or offer constructive criticism to make it better. But don't hate them for doing something amazing for someone else. That's sick.

  • Man are you on the money here and that isn't a question by the way. That dweeb is just - well in the words of the great Bugs Bunney - he is a "maroon." He has zero facts to back up the comment and he shows nothing as a human being. This child was dying and needed something to make him happy and Bungie came through. Even if they did do it for publicity - they still did a good thing. Warren Buffet gave away billions to charity and it was reported. He got rep for it but I am sure he felt might good giving so much money away leaving him with more billions for himself then most sane people could ever want. Bungie is not some mega company like Coke or Intel - they are a game developer that is doing quite well. They made a successful series in Halo and now they have Destiny. People can rant all they want about the game - but when you accuse the developer of doing a charitable act for money and prestige only - then you have to be insane. This guy should have a straight jacket put on him and then put him in a rubber room for awhile until he calms his liver a bit.
