The Western feel of New Vegas felt more immersive than the unrecognizable rubble of Fallout 3. I liked the idea of just being a mailman in the middle of this barren wasteland with an oasis in the distance more than the idea of being a post-apocalyptic messiah on a quest to turn the water back on.

Fallout: New Vegas is technically better, considering the perk and stat improvements, companion wheel, traits, showing the lore of past games, and more. But I so prefer Fallout 3. Its easily much more fun for me, and the atmosphere is done so perfectly.

3 RepliesNew Vegas is objectively better because of all the little refinements like the companion wheel and ads were just great and the arsenal of weapons in New Vegas was just so much better. I loved all the quests in NV especially the story missions between 3 different factions and to seize control. All that said I like Fallout 3 more and I can't explain why. I guess it's the setting or the radio or maybe it was the most unique thing I had ever played at the time. The only thing I know us that I love the game just a little more than New Vegas.

Fallout 3 has a great atmosphere and a great set of characters, but lacks ADS and other proper game mechanics that New Vegas has. I love killing commies though. :D

New vegas guns and ADS with fallout 3 story and setting. It would be the perfect game!!! Add in more sniper oriented stuff would be cool too.

1 ReplyFallout 3. Twice as many character perks. You can have a sniper and shishkebab melee expert all before you hit the lvl cap. The original Fallout 1 and 2 were totally different games but bad ass in their own right. You forgot fallout tactics.
