Should every exotic have a bounty?

Agree, new vendor is good idea

Disagree, current system is better

I think most people feel dissatisfied with the huge role that RNG plays in getting loot. I don't mind some random loot as it adds excitement to completing certain activities, but I just wish it was supplemented by some slow-but-guaranteed method of getting the item I want. For legendary items, we can do the rep grind, which I think is a great system, but I would really like something similar for exotics. For example, perhaps there could be a special exotic bounty vendor who sells challenging bounties for each exotic at, say, 50-100 strange coins each. I think if the bounties are done well, this would generate a greater sense of "earning" our gear and would be consistent with the original vision that seeing a person with a certain exotic gives you an idea of what they had to go through to get it. In my case, I'm a handcannon guy and really hoping to find a Hawkmoon (Bungie please hear my prayers), but its disheartening to not have any real way to work towards it and feel like I'm making progress. Also, for the raid, perhaps we could earn special raid coins (guaranteed 1 coin for beating complete raid) that could be traded in for raid gear or special raid bounties to earn raid gear (I think there could be some really cool raid-specific challenges...). Is an exotic/raid bounty vendor a stupid idea or do people agree? Please vote in the poll or add comments below.

  • I posted about this about a month ago and got called an elitist by a bunch of casuals... I do agree though. The only thing you really 'earn' for sure a spin mental and other upgrade materials on your loot runs lol Something needs to give. I'd say just add trading instead. Would be much easier for the devs to implement, and nothing else would need to change.
