Edited by Jayhawk USN: 11/10/2014 4:14:15 AMIt's not a fair sampling yet, but Halo 4's story was lazy, sloppy, and lame. They tried to make crazy looking robots, but they ended up just looking weird. The stories didn't reflect traditional Halo roles. For instance, 117 should be force recon, not asking the skipper what intel is available. Cortana should be hacking the big guns, not standing by while 117 blows them up, only to still have to hack them later. It wasn't told in the "Halo style" because it didn't develop anyone. The Didact, an ancient enemy, was too easy to kill, leaving no prominent enemy for future games except for the Elite terrorist group from Spartan Ops. Insurgents are just not as fun to fight as colossal empires. The enemy didn't make any sense. Why did the Didact have God-like powers? The architecture wasn't typical of the Forerunners, and no explanation was given. There were so many inconsistencies that the only way I knew I was playing Halo was the characters.
