Vision of Constipation
People seem to really like this gun but I'm not a huge fan. It's a Scout rifle which fires in full auto, but that's not enough to really turn me on.
Are accuracy and damage per shot the only things going for it? Please turn me onto it, I have a few laying around (One almost maxed) and would like to [i]want[/i] to use them rather than use them out of necessity.

25 Repliesi got it in the raid this weekend and used it on the venus daily yesterday that was all vex with void shields. IT SUCKED. it takes half a mag to down a goblin on lvl 28, even with critical shots. its really stable and rate of fire is good, but damage and range are abysmal right out of the box. i couldnt complete the mission with it after 4 deaths, the void minotaurs kept handing me my ass. so i switched back to devil you know and wrecked to completion without another death. now im keeping an open mind for now and im going to use it to run some hive missions and see how it fairs against the solar shields. and im going to level it up and increase the damage and range and hopefully it will improve. ive had a rare scout before that i loved the damage and range on fully leveled up and im just really shocked this raid gun fared so badly by comparison. im hoping it kicks ass once i level it up so i can use it on the hive DLC next month. its really hard to level it though because it sucks so bad i barely want to even use it. i picked up the vanguard scout that causes enemies to explode and the bottom of the mag does extra damage, and it has better range and impact stats, which seems like a much better gun, it just doesnt have the solar damage. i really hope the confluence comes along and becomes my go-to solar gun.

1 ReplyI've got a plethora of legendaries and exotics, but as I saw that VoC enter my inventory after beating Atheon, I was prolly happier than getting to level 30. I've been hunting for this gun for awhile now, its full auto, elemental damage, large mag, and crazy impact are just several pros of the best legendary gun in the game. I won't be using any other primary for awhile.

It's ok. Have mine fully maxed out and still prefer my hand canon.

why do people not like this gun? I don't have one, but I have seen the stats; fastest Scout rifle in the game by far! that thing looks crazy lethal!

Literally everything about it is amazing. It surprised me how much I liked the gun even while leveling it up. It's the only non-hand cannon primary I will use.

2 RepliesIt's a primary weapon with Solar Damage. Solar is the most effective thing in the game since the Hive, Kabal and on epic mode Fallen (shanks) have weaknesses to Solar. It's also useful in the VoG as it does extra damage to oracles. I use it for everything, my coffee tastes that much sweeter now.

I don't think a lot of people get how great it is in Weekly, Nightfall and how effective it will be in Crotas End. Night night Wizards.

You should always use the gun that is best suited to the situation. In VoC's case, taking out wizards and centurions like it's noone's business.

Umm idk what ppl are sayin bad things bout VoC. It has the buff Bungie applied to it and it fires auto. Not fast auto but it gets the job done in bot PvP and PvE. Then 27 shots.. Remember, SCOUT BUFF, not NERF

Yeah dude with the larger magazine perk it takes it to 26 or 27 shots in the mag, that's unheard of for anything that has that high of impact. In VoG it is beast against oracles which you def need that boost in Hard mode. Most people don't understand the beast that is Hard VoG, it is incredibly hard and you need everyone hitting those oracles with full force in order to defeat Atheon.

Without solar, it is a great scout rifle. It's like they took a really tasty cookie and just lathered it in frosting. Take it into a Nightfall with Solar burn and things just melt. Now if I could only find one...

Voc isn't that great It's best feature is 27 bullet clips and fire damage. once I got fate bringer and ice breaker I stopped using it It's a good gun tho. If better scout rifles had fire damage then those would probably be better. But yeah. It's just a raid gun. Wouldn't be special if it wasn't a raid drop

Hold onto it, because even if scout rifles aren't your bag, you'd be crazy to get rid of a fire primary weapon. Especially with the next raid being a Hive raid. People think Praetorians are a pain in the dick? Whatever the Wizard equivalents are in The Dark Below will be nightmare fuel, you'll be glad to have a weapon that can strip their shields from a distance then.

3 RepliesEdited by DastardlyKingeX: 11/10/2014 5:29:38 PMIt's ALL i use for Hard Raid all day!! I had 2 and regretted dismantling the second one since it was such a beast gun!! Just check out my raid stats! in PVE it literally takes like 2-3 shots max to kill enemies, fire dmg tears thru shields, and lastly it's a very good weapon compared to other primaries to use against bosses due to high dmg + crit shots. Edit: PLEASE use the ACOG scope, without it this weapon is not being used at its full potential!!!

Its an absolute beast and its solar so ripping up wizards & cabal majors is easy peezy. Its super accurate (zen moment) and once maxed its great for oracles

The solar damage combined with full auto and maxed clip size make it a really great weapon. I have 4 maxed VoG primaries and two maxed exotic primaries and I rarely use any except VoC.

It owns in solar burn nightfall. I'm actually hoping the next nightfall is solar burn just to use it to tear through enemies.

Fire damage. Neff said. Indispensable during nf with Additional shields and croata raid for those wizards

6 RepliesI use it because it's a primary solar dmg weapon, that is also full auto. If your a pvp player then Yea I wouldn't use it but in pve, unless you can find another solar burn primary that's got auto fire personally I would use it. Maybe the new dlc will have a different solar burn and the confluence will not be used anymore.

Got one maxed out great in vault against hive and cabal. Only one I found better and that would be MIDA

I pull the trigger at my rate not the full auto mode. And it kills in crucible in 3 headshots
