Let's talk Thorn
When people first get Thorn, it's a shitty weapon reward for the hardest exotic bounty and they were pissed and immediately jumped on the buff Thorn's damage, reload speed and clip size train that was going on. I was guilty too. But now I have Thorn fully upgraded and it is literally the only weapon I use except the occasional snipe job that's too far for it or rockets. I know, I'm boring, but I love hand cannons.
So I'm interested now, out of everyone that now has the DoT upgrade, what do you think about this weapon?
[spoiler]My opinion is that if I had Fatebringer I would use that instead because of clip size and reload speed. I think Thorn still needs a buff but a minor one such as 3 extra rounds or faster reload speed but not both.[/spoiler]

If the dot refreshed or stacked, it would be great. As it stands a lot of the bonus damage is lost after hitting a target once. The following two quick shots (if focusing on the same target eg. a boss) will lose their incentive to be shot. But if you don't shoot them you're losing DPS. Additionally (this may be different at high attack rating or player level, I'm Lvl 27 when using it and it still has the last three dmg perks to unlock) one shot plus a full dot run does not kill trash, but two shots kill the same trash not factoring in the dot. Therefore (for me at least) the dot seems negligible since I have to shoot most targets a minimum of two times. I will test this more as I unlock the damage upgrades. I like the gun, will continue to use, and level it for fun purposes. But when it gets to boss time, most other legendaries or exotics seem to perform better.

the only thing i would like changed is the reload speed, i use TDYK and it's reload is 1/2 with double the mag- otherwise the gun can beast anywhere

Crazy on pvp hate it on pve

On my hunter with chain of woe and gunslingers trance I love it but without the speed reload it's an average revolver. The DoT is nasty in pvp though

I got it from the bounty too, Positive feedback, it looks badass, I love how it sounds, it's still very strong Negative feedback, fatebringer, a legendary is stronger, not so useful perks to be an exotic, reload time I still like it a lot and I'm keeping it :)
