Rare (blue) engrams can be rewards for Nightfalls :l
Just had this happen on my warlock....can't believe this is even a thing in Nightfall.
I think I literately just got shat on by the RNG.

Also, would like to point out that this was after getting booted to orbit almost every time due to the baboon error.
