So you only need to beat Atheon on Hard to finish your raid for week after your previous squad collapsed due to a few weak teammate who must be trying to punch supplicants or something. You hop on DestinyLFG.net, after failing to find any online friends, knowing its a gamble as to what kind of team you'll wind up on. Great luck! There's a post 1min ago looking for 3 people to do Atheon on hard, as soon as you join the team fills and off you go. Right away you ask where we're going after portals and with no effort everyone agrees "center, WoL at rear, relic at front". You're afraid as you know center can either be wonderful or miserable. You spawn and run to Left Sync Plate like you should. As you get there and look around you realize the team split 3 and 3 on each sync plate, no one jumping, no one wasting time popping Atheon. You feel a little shock, is it possible everyone here knows what to do? First teleport, you're detained along with the other 2 guys who were on Left.... The away team of course has been sent to Right portal and instantly lets us know, you worry as you know how Right normally goes. Then you hear "gjallahorn out, ok adds down" you see oracle kills popping up. One your home team you've ran and opened right portal, you see your teammates one on Left Pillar and one on High Left and the 3 of you are popping supplicants with no trouble. You think "no way, is this really going this smooth?" Away team calls out "last oracle, coming out" and they emerge. Your buddy on left pillar activates golden gun finishing off supplicants easily. You run and toss WoL on back of center platform as relic holder calmly announces "center ready" Everyone gathers and you take a deep breath "ok I think we got this...OMG no ones dying, no splash damage" as you unload gjallahorn after gjallahorn and hear the sweet symphony of icebreakers going rapid fire. You hear "3, 2, 1, everyone scatter" you head back to left plate thinking "omg were all alive" you check Atheon who's already below half health. You rinse and repeat on the next portal.....and with only a few seconds remaining on TV he's down! You're left in awe of the fact you finally found a functional team and you're not walking away from Atheon with a headache Notes: this skips the multiple rounds where we got eaten by bugs, oracles reviving to kill us, oracles never showing up, double portals, 2 people teleported and detained. But the team took it all in stride being accustomed to the bugs and I don't think I ever heard the slightest sound of frustration. In total we were fighting for maybe 25 minutes or so. Sorry this post got so long lol but had to express my enjoyable raid experience
