Honestly it is a little offensive. It's an attempt at down playing or making fun of our country. It stems from the US be touted as a world police which is rude and a little ignorant. The US isn't a world police we are more of a world assistant. We simply try to help others who need it. When we do help we are chastised for it. If we don't help we are chastised for it. It's a true case of damned if we do or damned If we don't. The real shame of it is that US citizens actually believe what the media tells us. A lot of people still think we get our oil from the Middle East because that's what the media says. It a real shame. Of course part of our thinking is the freedom of speech. So you can say what you want.
